Inspired by walking in the wild, collecting curiosities and creating an alternative portrait of place

The original artwork is signed and is one of a kind

Collected curiosities from a French road trip, arranged and attached to the linen background with entomology pins 

The piece contains four pieces of preserved wood, a dried flower head,  a dried flower spike, a dried foliage length and a small snail shell which has been bleached white by the sun

The assemblage is mounted in a solid wood frame which has been waxed by hand
